Registrations

From Da Nang Airport to Hoi An

The closest airport to the VLX event is the Da Nang International Airport - DAD

The VLX participants are responsible for making their own way to their hotel from the Da Nang international airport. It is roughly a 40 minutes drive to most places in Hoi An. You can use our Facebook Event if you wish to get a ride together with some other dancers on the same flight.

VLXers can use:

1. Book with Mr Thu:
- 4-seat car: 250,000 VND per trip (2 people)
- 7-seat car: 300,000 VND per trip (max 4 people with luggage)
- 16-seat van: 400,000 VND per trip (max 10 people with luggage)
- Before 6am and after 10pm pick up: add 50,000 VND/trip

The VLX accommodation

This is the venue where our Welcome dance (on Friday night) as well as our Gala (Saturday night) and Farewell (Sunday night) dinners with live band and dancing will take place, and also where most dancers will choose to stay. Although it is the most convenient place for the VLX, the number of rooms is limited. There are other beautiful options in the area if you prefer another resort or if the hotel is full, there is no obligation to stay at our event venue.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
There is limited room in the hotel.
1- The hotel is for dancers only
2- You have to stay for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights)
You can extend your stay at the VLX discounted price if available.

SHINING RIVERSIDE HOI AN BOUTIQUE & SPA

Most of our dances will happen at Shining Riverside, our chosen VLX hotel, but Hoi An is full of beautiful boutique accommodation for all wallets, around the Ancient Town. Do note that although we are a 5 minutes scooter or 10 minutes bicycle ride away from the Ancient Town, it's a long walk if you chose to stay on foot.

The wonderful Clap Stomp Swingin’ will be joining us again for VLX 2024. Based in Osaka, Japan, the band has been playing for dancers all over Asia and the world since 2010.

HAT Jazz band

Our very own local Jazz singers whose positivity have made our past events so full of energy! Our local band, the HAT Jazz Band, simply the best Jazz band in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Terms and conditions

GENERAL TERMS

These are the general terms and conditions for the participants of the Vietnam Lindy Exchange 2023, further referred to as the VLX. If you do not agree with this document during registration (and thus do not agree with the terms and conditions) you will not be able to attend the VLX.

PAYMENT TERMS

1- Fill out the registration form. This will log your request for a VLX pass only.
2- You will receive a registration acknowledgement email. Please don’t make any payment at this time!
3- When a place is available, we will send you an email with further instructions for payment.
4- Once you have received the instructions, please pay for your pass according to the instructions to guarantee your place. If payment is not received by this time, your booking will be cancelled automatically to make room for other participants and you will need to re-register.
5- You will receive a receipt of payment and confirmation of place email when we receive your payment to say that your booking has been successful.

VLX passes are valid for the registered named person only.
The attendee is responsible for all bank transfer fees if any.

CANCELLATIONS

The VLX team maintains a waiting list to ensure that people are offered places in the order that they register. If you are no longer able to come to the event please notify us on [email protected] so that we can attempt to offer your pass to the people on the waiting list. In the case that there are no people on the waiting list you are welcome to find someone and notify us so we transfer the pass to them.

For any cancellations a booking fee of 30% will be retained. For cancellations after the January 24th, we are sorry but we will be unable to provide any refund. For cancellations for medical reasons please send a message to [email protected] and we will review on a case per case basis.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The Vietnam Lindy Exchange is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable social dance experience for everyone regardless of dance ability, dance background, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other characteristic or trait. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Individuals violating these rules may be expelled from the venue at the discretion of the event organizers.

If you are drinking, you are expected to drink responsibly, and you must not drive. Please approach an organizer, who can call you a cab or arrange a ride to your accommodation for you. If you become so inebriated as to behave inappropriately or in any way that brings risk to yourself or others, you may be asked to leave the venue.
The VLX reserves the right to turn down registrations or refuse entry to any part of the event. This is also valid if you have provided any false information during the registration process, or are breaking the Vietnam law.
We appreciate your assistance in keeping our events and venues safe and welcoming for everyone.

CHANGES

The Organization reserves the right to change the time or location of the evening dances, and will communicate any changes on the website and/or Facebook Page.

CAPTIONS

A photographer and a videographer may be present at the VLX.
By purchasing your ticket and attending, you consent to photographs being taken, which may then be used for marketing purposes on any form of printed or online media.

If you wish to remove a photograph that has been posted by the VLX team, please notify us at [email protected].

PRIVACY

The personal information you provide will not be disclosed, in any situation, to a third party.
The Organization will solely contact you in the context of the event. Direct contact will be primarily e-mail-based, as we give you relevant information regarding the event and follow up with your registration.
The Organization cannot be held responsible for the integrity and privacy of e-mail messages as they are relayed by e-mail servers across the Internet.

INJURIES AND THEFTS

Dancing is a physical activity and as such comes with some risks of injuries or death. By registering to the VLX, you agree that you will not participate in activities that you are not physically fit for, including but not limited to dancing. The VLX organizers and team members will not be held responsible for any physical injuries, death or damages to/thefts of private property that might occur during the VLX.

Please refrain from using moves that are unsafe, and be respectful of other dancers on the dancefloor.
